Is it forbidden for a 17-year-old Muslim girl to write a novel in English about English characters, that includes appropriately described feelings of love without mentioning sexual desire, or that describes the characters' way of thinking and their perspective on matters without praising or criticizing their society, and must imagination only be used in the service of Islam and Arab causes?

The ruling on writing novels, literary and fictional stories, and chaste love stories depends on their content and the author's intention. Excessive reading of these stories is a waste of time and energy, and it may lead to loving their heroes, which is a serious matter that contradicts the love of Allah and His Messenger, especially if these heroes are among those who oppose Allah and His Messenger. Western education should not be an example to follow, due to its focus on behavioral aspects and neglect of faith-based aspects, unlike comprehensive Islamic education. It is recommended to pay attention to the Quran and Sunnah, and to avoid stories that may spread indecency and call to the unlawful. It is also recommended to invite colleagues to Allah and seek righteous companionship. As for the question of schools' attention to education, it should be directed to school administrations.
