Is the Barzakh the meeting place for souls after death, and do the souls of the dead visit each other there?

Linguistically, "Barzakh" means a barrier between two things. It is the period from death until the Day of Resurrection. The souls of the deceased meet and visit each other in Barzakh, but not in the same way as in this world, for the life of Barzakh is part of the Unseen. The soul connects with the body in the grave sometimes and separates from it at other times, by the power and will of Allah. This is part of the Unseen, in which one must believe without delving into its precise nature.
