Do the dead speak to each other in the grave?

The state of the dead in Barzakh (definition) is among the unseen matters about which one cannot speak except with evidence from revelation. Hadiths have indicated that the souls of the dead meet in Barzakh and converse among themselves. Among these is what was narrated by Imam Ahmad, An-Nasa'i, and others, and authenticated by Al-Albani, from a long hadith (definition) explaining the taking of souls, in which it is mentioned that the souls of the believers meet the newly arrived soul and inquire from it about the conditions of the living.
