What is the ruling on one who spits in the street or in the direction of the Qibla?

There are etiquettes for spitting, among them avoiding spitting towards the Qibla or to one's right. Whoever does so will come on the Day of Resurrection with their spittle between their eyes or on their face. Spitting in front of a worshipper who is facing the Qibla is disliked, out of reverence for it. As for spitting in the street, there is no direct prohibition against it, but it is commendable to observe general manners and care for cleanliness, as spitting is a disgusting act and should not be done in a way that harms people.
