Is a Fidyah due for performing Umrah eight days before Hajj from Masjid Aisha, instead of consecrating the Ihram from home? And how is this Fidyah offered and to whom?

If a resident of Jeddah intends to perform Hajj or Umrah, he must enter into ihram from Jeddah, because it is within the Mawaqeet (plural of Miqat, the designated points for entering ihram), and it is not permissible for him to pass it without ihram. If he entered into ihram from Aisha Mosque for an Umrah that he performed before Hajj, he has passed the Miqat and is liable for a fidyah (expiation): slaughtering a sheep in Makkah and distributing its meat to the poor, without eating any of it himself. However, if his ihram from Aisha Mosque was for Hajj, after performing Umrah from Jeddah, then there is nothing upon him, knowing that the ihram for Hajj is from where one resides in Makkah or elsewhere, without the need to go out to Aisha Mosque.
