What is the definition of "a youth who grew up in the obedience of God," and does it include one who disobeyed then was guided, or one whose faith weakened after guidance?

It appears that the age of the young man who attains the virtue of this hadith is from puberty until the end of life. The "young man" referred to is one who grew up in obedience to Allah and remained steadfast in that, without falling into error or deviation. As for someone who was disobedient and then guided, or whose faith weakened after guidance, they most likely do not fall under the promise of the noble hadith. The young man is specifically mentioned because he is prone to the dominance of desires, and adhering to worship at this stage is more difficult and challenging. Nevertheless, it cannot be definitively asserted that a person who committed mistakes or major sins, but then repented sincerely from them, would not be included in the promise of the hadith, for Allah's mercy is vast and close to the doers of good.
