Does divorce take effect with the words "Today I divorce you" uttered in a state of extreme anger, and is expiation (kaffarah) required for that?

If you uttered the divorce (talaq) while in a state of anger that deprived you of awareness and consciousness, then your divorce is not effective and no expiation is required of you. However, if the anger did not deprive you of awareness, then your divorce is effective.
