How can one dispose of a candy figurine dressed in a Santa Claus costume and his friends, if it is difficult to break, and is it sufficient to paint over it or unscrew its parts?

Forbidden images must be defaced, as was narrated by Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded him: "Do not leave any raised grave without leveling it, nor any image without defacing it." Defacing them means erasing and nullifying them. If defacing them is difficult, then they can be completely disposed of.
