What is the religious ruling regarding someone who practices hypocrisy at work towards their superior, and employs the method of spreading evil and tarnishing the reputation of others, and what should one do who falls under the siege of these hypocrites and feels alone and isolated; should they cut off their own livelihood or be patient and entrust their affairs to Allah?

Engaging in evil and tarnishing the reputation of good people is caused by envy (hasad), which is a bad trait resorted to by some due to their desire to surpass others. This leads to their discontent with Allah's distribution and burns their hearts. Envy is a fire that consumes the heart of the envious person, and it is a sign of a weak soul and helplessness. Therefore, we advise the person described as competent to perfect their work and be sincere to Allah Almighty.
