What is the ruling on someone who stole money and is unable to return it, and are the gates of Paradise closed to him, and are his acts of worship accepted, and is it permissible for him to perform Hajj?

Sins are of two types: those related to the right of Allah Almighty, which are forgiven by sincere repentance, and those related to the rights of created beings, which require the restitution of rights or seeking absolution from their owners. If it is currently impossible to return the money, it remains a debt until one is able to return it. If one resolves to do so upon death, the matter may be left to Allah. Past sins do not prevent the acceptance of good deeds. The acceptance of good deeds such as prayer, zakat, and Hajj depends on Allah's acceptance, but it is hoped that they will be accepted from whoever performs them in the prescribed manner. Surplus money must be used to settle rights before performing Hajj.
