Why do the Abrahamic prayers mention praying for the Prophet Muhammad just as he prayed for Abraham "exclusively," while Almighty Allah says: "We make no distinction between any of them"?

The reason for restricting the Abrahamic prayer (Salat al-Ibrahimiyyah) to mentioning Prophet Muhammad and Abraham, peace be upon them, to the exclusion of other messengers, is that they hold the highest status among all messengers in the sight of Allah Almighty. Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the Seal of the Prophets and the best of them by consensus. Abraham, peace be upon him, is described in the Quran as Allah's Khalil (intimate friend), which is the highest station of love. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "That is Abraham, peace be upon him," when he was addressed as "O best of creation." This was an act of humility on his part and respect for Abraham due to his intimacy with Allah and his fatherhood [of many prophets]. As for Allah Almighty’s statement: "We make no distinction between any of His messengers" (Quran 2:285), it means that believers must have faith in all prophets, messengers, and revealed books, without differentiating between them by believing in some and disbelieving in others.
