What is the ruling on a wife refusing intercourse due to lack of pleasure resulting from her husband's refusal to caress and please her, and his refusal to change his behavior? And will the husband be held accountable for this refusal?

The husband must treat his wife well and satisfy her emotional needs. He should also take the initiative to use kind words, as this is part of living together honorably. The wife, for her part, should be patient, engage in dialogue kindly, supplicate, and appreciate the blessing of having a child. It is not permissible for the wife to refuse intercourse without a legitimate Shar'i reason, and if she deceives him with a lie, the sin is greater. The husband must keep his wife chaste through intercourse according to her desire and his ability. It is commendable for him to please her with gentle words, though it is not obligatory. The solution lies in supplication, patience, dialogue, understanding, and the remembrance of Allah to calm the soul.
