Is it permissible to call Allah's creation of our actions "hidden جبرًا" (compulsion/determinism), and what is the correct view on this?

It is not correct to describe Allah's creation of the servants' actions as compulsion (Jabr), because the Ash'ari school of thought on this matter ultimately leads to the Jabariyyah (Compulsionist) school of Jahm. Jahm states that the servant has no action whatsoever, and Ash'ari agrees with him that the servant is not an agent and has no effective power in the action, saying instead that he is an 'acquirer' (kasib). The correct wording derived from the Prophetic Sunnah is that a person is "facilitated for that for which he was created." So, his action, even though it is by Allah's decree, he nonetheless has choice and acquisition in it.
