Does Allah descend to the lowest heaven on the night of the middle of Sha‘ban and forgive everyone except a polytheist or one who harbors malice?

The assertion regarding the authenticity of the hadith about Allah's descent on the night of mid-Sha'ban is debated among scholars, and no hadith on its virtue is sound. The aforementioned hadith is weak due to the isnad (chain of narration) of Ibn Lahi'ah and the tadlees (deceptive narration) of Al-Waleed ibn Muslim.

Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali said: "There are multiple ahadith concerning the virtue of the night of mid-Sha'ban, and there is disagreement regarding them. The majority have deemed them weak, while Ibn Hibban authenticated some of them."

Allah Almighty's descent to the lowest heaven is established in Al-Sahihayn and other collections for every night during its last third. The night of mid-Sha'ban is included within this general scope.

Abdullah ibn Al-Mubarak was asked about Allah Almighty's descent on the night of mid-Sha'ban, to which he replied: "O weak one! The night of mid-Sha'ban!? He descends every night."

Al-Uqayli said: "The ahadith regarding the descent on the night of mid-Sha'ban contain weakness, while the narrations about the descent every night are sound and authentic. Thus, the night of mid-Sha'ban is included therein, in sha Allah."
