Is it Islamically permissible to prevent a husband from attending the birth of his child, in order to make him feel remorse for having distressed his wife during pregnancy?

The wife has no right to prevent her husband from attending a conventional birth, and informing him of her displeasure is possible through other means besides denying him his right. The husband's eagerness to attend the birth is evidence of his love for his wife and his desire to stand by her during hardship. Spouses should show mercy and understanding towards each other, overlook minor faults, and consider each other's circumstances.
