How do I deal with my father who is always angry with me, and whom I feel I am disobeying because I do not listen to him, and due to the frequent quarrels between us?

Obeying parents is obligatory in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah. One must also show good manners towards them, seeking the countenance of Allah, obeying His command, remembering their kindness, and embodying patience, forbearance, and gentleness. This is in accordance with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Indeed, gentleness is not in anything but it adorns it, and it is not removed from anything but it disgraces it." And his saying: "Knowledge is only acquired by learning, and forbearance by striving to be forbearing. Whoever seeks good will be given it, and whoever guards against evil will be protected from it."
