How are the verses: "And whatever of blessings you have, it is from Allah; then when harm touches you, to Him [alone] you cry for help. Then when He removes the harm from you, at once a party of you associate others with their Lord," to be understood, given the existence of disbelievers and atheists who worship other than Allah? And does this have a connection to the Hadith: "The most helpless of people is he who is helpless in making supplication"?

Not all disbelievers are atheists; some acknowledge the existence of God but associate partners with Him. These disbelievers turn to God in times of hardship because they know that none can remove distress but He, as the Holy Quran explains. However, once God delivers them from their tribulation, they revert to their polytheism and denial. This demonstrates their ignorance and misguidance, for God is capable of destroying them on land just as He destroyed them at sea.

As for the Hadith: "And the most helpless of people is he who is helpless in making supplication," it means that the weakest in judgment and insight is he who fails to ask of God, especially during hardships. This helplessness can afflict both Muslims and disbelievers.
