The question

Is it permissible for a woman who suffers from the discharge of al-wady and finds difficulty in performing istinja' due to work circumstances (mixed-gender restrooms) to combine two prayers with one ablution, or to change the defiled cloth and perform tayammum for prayer?

The answer

One who experiences a perpetual state of ritual impurity (hadath da'im) must perform ablution (wudu') for each prayer. Dry ablution (tayammum) is not permissible as long as water is available and its use is possible. Any semen (wudu) that has touched the body must be washed off if one intends to pray. To avoid the apprehension of transferring impurity during istinja' (cleaning oneself after relieving oneself), the area can be washed thoroughly before sitting down. It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to work in a place where she regularly mixes with men, except out of necessity.
