How can one deal with a nervous wife who verbally abuses and attacks her husband?

My advice to the wife is twofold: Firstly, to abandon anger, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not get angry"; because anger accumulates all evil. Secondly, to recognize the great right her husband has over her. As for the husband, my advice is patience and striving to teach his wife good character by providing her with beneficial books and tapes, encouraging her to associate with righteous women and perform religious duties, and frequently supplicating for her guidance and righteousness.
