Can one who desires a good ending out of hypocrisy attain it, and is one attested to be righteous if they die prostrating, or could it be like one who fought so it would be said of him that he is brave?

The most important thing a believer should strive for is a good ending, and to beware of hypocrisy. A good ending does not necessitate dying in prostration or bowing, for it has many signs, including: dying upon faith in Allah Almighty, and steadfastness in righteous deeds, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who have said, 'Our Lord is Allah ' and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], 'Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.'" And as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If Allah intends good for His servant, He employs him. They said: How does He employ him? He said: He guides him to do a righteous deed before his death." The appearance of these signs does not guarantee Paradise for its possessor, for that is of the unseen, and its knowledge is with Allah.
