What is the ruling on praying in trousers or pants if they describe the 'awrah, and has any of the early or later scholars held this opinion?

The jurists of the four schools of thought have agreed on the validity of the prayer of one who prays in a garment that conceals the 'awrah without describing its shape, for the criterion is covering the color, not the size. The Hanafi school stated: "Its clinging and shaping do not harm," as long as it is thick enough that the skin color is not visible. The Maliki school disliked wearing describing garments but did not invalidate the prayer performed in them. The Shafi'i school explicitly stated that the prayer is valid if the color is covered and the size is described, considering the opinion that does not validate it to be a clear error. The Hanbali school holds that prayer is permissible if the garment covers the color of the skin, even if it describes the body's shape, because it is impossible to avoid that. Therefore, the assertion that prayer is invalid due to the garment describing the body's size is not agreed upon by the people of knowledge.
