What is the ruling on applying honey and olive oil to the anus and genitals for the purpose of treating hemorrhoids with honey?

There is no harm in treating with the aforementioned substances and applying them to any part of the body for treatment, because that is part of seeking medical treatment and taking the prescribed means enjoined by Islamic law. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "For every disease there is a cure, and if the cure for a disease is found, it will be cured by the permission of Allah, the Almighty." He also said: "O servants of Allah, seek medical treatment; for Allah, the Almighty, has not created a disease except that He has also created a cure for it."
