Why does the Qur'an speak of the creation of living beings and humans from water, while modern science indicates that humans are created from a sperm that is not described as water? And does "nutfah" in the Qur'an mean seminal fluid, as interpreted by the Salaf?

The Holy Quran is the word of Allah; falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it. It is the judge over all other sources of knowledge. The creation of humankind in the Holy Quran is from water, and this water is the nutfah (sperm-drop). Modern science states that the origin of animal creation is from a spermatozoon resembling a small worm. This does not contradict what the Quran mentioned, as nutfah is the water from which the spermatozoon came. Ibn Al-Qayyim explained that reflecting on the creation of humankind leads to the knowledge of Allah, His Oneness, and His attributes. Allah called for reflection on the beginning of human creation from a nutfah (sperm-drop), then an 'alaqah (clinging clot), then a mudghah (chewed-like lump of flesh), because the creation of humankind is the greatest proof of its Creator, and it contains countless wonders. Allah Almighty mentioned the nutfah, the 'alaqah, and the mudghah in the Quran not merely for definition, but for a greater purpose, which is to invite humankind to contemplate the origin of their creation from despised water, and how Allah fashioned them, combined male and female, divided similar parts into bones, veins, and nerves, and how He clothed them with flesh and gave them form.
