What is the ruling on hunting within the Sacred Precinct (Haram) of the Prophet's Mosque?

The correct view is that hunting within the sacred precinct (haram) of Medina is prohibited, but its sin is less severe than hunting within the sacred precinct of Mecca, and there is no penalty (jaza') for it. Unlike the sacred precinct of Mecca, it is permissible to keep and slaughter game that has been brought into the sacred precinct of Medina from outside its boundaries.
