Is intense fear of the evil eye, which leads to avoiding adornment and mentioning one's good qualities, considered a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder?

The evil eye is real, and a Muslim must protect himself from it by concealing his self and his virtues, by observing adhkar (remembrances of God) and ta’awwudhat (seeking refuge in God), by adhering to acts of obedience, by abstaining from sins, and by raising one's family upon this. Among the methods of protection is to darken the nūnah (the dimple on the chin) of a male child by blackening it. Furthermore, one must avoid obsessions and imaginary fears, and treat them by completely disregarding them.
