Does wearing torn clothes bring poverty and bad luck? What is the ruling on wearing trousers under the abaya? What is the ruling on a wife speaking with a non-mahram man over the phone out of friendship without her husband's knowledge, and vice versa for the husband? Is the niqab obligatory like the hijab?

There is no শর‘ঈ (Shar‘i) evidence that wearing torn clothes brings poverty or bad luck. It is مُستحبّ (mustahabb - recommended) in Sharia to wear good clothes, based on the Almighty's saying: "O Children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid," and based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty."

It is not permissible for a woman to connect with a non-mahram man, or for a man to connect with a non-mahram woman, except out of necessity, whether directly or via telephone. The prohibition increases if the relationship is an illicit friendship, especially if the woman is married.
