The answer

"Minor sins" (muhaqqarat adh-dhunub) are small sins that a person does not pay attention to. They are called such because their perpetrators belittle them and do not consider them significant. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, likened minor sins to a group of people who camped in a valley and gathered small pieces of firewood until they lit a great fire. Similarly, minor sins, when accumulated, destroy their perpetrator. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against belittling them, for they can become major sins through trivialization and persistence in committing them.
