Is it permissible for a divorced woman residing in France, a mother of four children, to learn driving with a foreign male instructor accompanied by another male or female student, given the incompetence of female instructors, and knowing that she is obliged to go out to fulfill her needs and is responsible for raising her children?

An unmarriageable man is not permitted to teach you how to drive, even if there is a male or female student with you, unless they are old enough to negate seclusion by their presence. To remain steadfast in faith and to persevere in raising children well, seek help from Allah and cling to Him, care for the Holy Quran, be keen to learn beneficial knowledge, choose righteous company, and increase in remembrance of Allah and supplication. There is no harm in rejecting a suitor, but if someone whose religious commitment and character you approve of proposes to you, accept him, for what matters is the sum of the suitor's attributes, character, and behavior.
