Harming a believer and striving to sow discord between him and people is a grave sin. Among the conditions for sincere repentance is to free oneself from the rights of others. Therefore, it is obligatory to seek forgiveness from those who have been wronged and to rectify what you have corrupted. If one fears greater harm, then he should frequently supplicate for and seek forgiveness for the wronged person. It is not permissible to accuse anyone of theft without evidence.
