What is the ruling on listening to the Qur’an with contemplation and repetition while playing on the computer, knowing that the playing is not continuous due to a turn-based system? And is it permissible to listen to the Qur’an in the car and engage in tasbeeh while playing on the computer?

Playing on the computer or other devices while listening to Quranic recitation contradicts the principles of listening and paying attention. It is incumbent upon anyone listening to the Quran not to be preoccupied with playing; otherwise, they should turn off the recitation. However, when driving a car, there is no objection to playing and listening to the Quran; in fact, it is commendable. As for reciting tasbih while occupied, there is no objection, but the dhākir (one who recites remembrance) should be mindful of the meaning of what they are saying so that the remembrance is both with the tongue and the heart.
