What is the ruling on one who learns the Quran on a computer while smoking?

Reading the Qur’an is a great act of obedience. Its benefit is achieved through outward purification by ablution (wudu’), and inward purification by abandoning sins, showing reverence, and humility. Al-Ghazali says that the meanings of the Qur’an are veiled from an unpurified heart, and not every tongue or heart is fit for its recitation. The more one's desires increase, the more the meanings of the words become veiled. Scholars call the recitation of one who lacks proper etiquette "the recitation of the heedless," and a disobedient person may curse himself while reciting the Qur’an without realizing it. Smoking is forbidden due to its harm, and a smoker who recites the Qur’an commits a prohibited act because he does not revere the word of Allah, combining obedience with disobedience. The reciter of the Qur’an will either achieve excellence or incur loss, as Qatadah said: "No one ever sat with the Qur’an and then left it except with an increase or a decrease."
