The solution lies in seeking refuge with Allah Almighty and supplicating to Him to protect oneself from the evil of one's desires, as exemplified by the words of Yusuf (Joseph), peace be upon him: "He said, 'My Lord, prison is moreto my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and be among the ignorant.'" One should avoid watching indecencies, make sincere repentance, and occupy one's time with beneficial matters such as seeking knowledge and exercising. Browsing the Internet should be done in the presence of those one feels shy around.

It was narrated from the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Just as grapes are not gathered from thorns, so too the righteous do not descend to the levels of the wicked," and "Every person goes out in the morning, selling his soul, thereby freeing it or dooming it." This means that every person strives with their soul; some sell it to Allah Almighty by obeying Him, thus freeing it from punishment, while others sell it to Satan and their whims, thereby dooming it.

It is essential to instill the fear and awe of Allah in the heart by reading books and listening to lectures about the Last Day, Paradise, and Hellfire.
