Would a girl agree to marry someone she met and loved through online chat, or would she marry someone who proposed to her but whom she doesn't accept?

Firstly: The girl should strengthen her connection with Allah and ask Him for success in choosing the right husband. She should also consult those with experience and wisdom, especially her parents.

Secondly: She should stay away from chats and relationships with young men who do not approach homes through their proper doors, for they are thieves of honor.

Thirdly: She must sever any forbidden relationships, repent to Allah, and seek His forgiveness. She should not give her father's phone number to anyone she speaks with, especially if she is already engaged, as it is impermissible to propose over an existing engagement.

Fourthly: If the girl does not desire her fiancé, she must inform her father. It is not permissible to force her to marry someone she does not wish to marry.

Fifthly: The primary Islamic criterion for choosing a husband should be his religious commitment and character, followed by other qualities.

Sixthly: Do not forget to seek counsel (istisharah) and guidance from Allah (istikhara).
