Is it permissible to consult a female doctor for ovarian stimulation and to use alkaline prescriptions to conceive twin boys, with the aim of spacing out pregnancies and curing the wife of depression attacks, given the existence of two daughters and the previous death of a son?

Islamic law sees no objection to determining the sex of a fetus if possible, as it is free from legal prohibitions, provided that it does not harm the mother or the fetus. It should be noted that it is preferable to forgo such determination and be content with Allah Almighty's decree, so that the heart does not become attached to material means and forget the Creator.
