ما هي الأسباب النفسية والأخلاقية والاجتماعية وراء تحريم زواج الرجل من خالته، بمعزل عن النصوص الشرعية القطعية؟
It is forbidden for a man to marry his maternal aunt according to the Qur'an, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus, as Allah the Almighty says: "Prohibited to you are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your paternal aunts, and your maternal aunts." This prohibition is agreed upon among Muslims and in all religions, due to the profound wisdom it contains in preserving familial ties from rupture, which could result from harshness in the marital relationship. Furthermore, the maternal aunt is considered to be like a mother, and this preserves the affection of the aunt and protects it from lust. Moreover, marriage to محارم (those with whom marriage is forbidden) contradicts sound human nature and leads to diseases, degradation, and the corruption of families in this world, and painful torment in the Hereafter.
