Is a person considered an unbeliever if they feel their love for their mother and husband surpasses their love for God, despite their commitment to obeying God and not disobeying Him to please anyone? And how can one repent from this feeling?

The reprehensible, polytheistic love is that in which the lover equates his love for Allah with his love for another, such that he attains perfect love and perfect submission to other than Allah. As for natural love, such as the love for children and one's wife, it is not polytheistic; rather, it is an act of closeness [to Allah] and obedience, and one is not blamed for it. Thoughts and whisperings are not subject to accountability; it is recommended to repel them by the remembrance of Allah, supplication, and seeking forgiveness.
