Is it permissible to transfer the old equipment of the mosque to the village school, and is it permissible to convert the old mosque into classrooms?

Scholars have explicitly stated the permissibility of relocating a waqf (endowment) if its original location renders its benefit impossible, moving it to a similar location. If that is not possible, it may be moved to a closely related type for the public benefit.

Similarly, it is permissible to convert a mosque into a school or to sell it and build another mosque with its proceeds if it has become disused and no longer prayed in, or if there is a strong need to convert it into a school. This is because the objective is to achieve benefit from the waqf, and its idleness leads to the loss of its utility. Ibn Qudamah narrated that Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) ordered the relocation of a mosque to another place when the need arose, and this occurred in the presence of the Companions.
