Why do the people of Paradise wear green garments?

Because green is the best of colors and the soul is delighted by it. It was narrated that it increases the sharpness of vision. And it was said: Three things dispel sorrow: water, greenery, and a beautiful face. The clothing of the people of Paradise is not limited to the color green, for they will have therein whatever their souls desire and their eyes delight in. And it was said that they will desire nothing but green.
