What should we do with a father who practices Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism/healing) in a way that exposes him to those he believes have bewitched him or afflicted him with the evil eye, and he believes this and considers it a new method? And should we suffice with supplication? What compelling evidence from the Quran and Sunnah can we use to discuss this with him?

Alleged visions that involve accusing people and spying on them are not to be relied upon, and what results from them is not permissible in Islamic law. Such visions are often the work of devils who lie and seek to corrupt relations and cause division among people, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: ﴿Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? They descend upon every sinful liar. They transmit hearsay, and most of them are liars.﴾ And His saying, glorified be He: ﴿And from them both they learn that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife.﴾
