Are the family of a wife who passes away before consummation entitled to claim the deferred dowry and what was listed in the furniture list provided by the husband, and does the husband inherit from his deceased wife's salary?

If the wife dies before consummation, she is entitled to the full stipulated Mahr (dowry) by scholarly consensus. The Mahr becomes fully due upon death, just as it would upon consummation. The furniture list (qaimat al-athath) is included in the Mahr if this is customary, and in that case, the wife owns everything written in it. The husband inherits half of his deceased wife's estate if she has no children. The Mahr, the furniture list, and the deferred Mahr are all included in the estate.
