Do we consider someone who died of charcoal asphyxiation a martyr?

One cannot definitively assert martyrdom for someone who died by suffocation due to the absence of a conclusive text supporting it. However, it is hoped that a monotheistic Muslim who dies from a cause involving severe pain, such as suffocation, will be among the martyrs if they endure patiently, seek reward from Allah, and are free from impediments. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, enumerated various categories of those who die a death involving severity and pain as martyrs.
