How is the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him) confirmed?

Allah supported His messengers with miracles suitable for their eras and peoples. The miracle of Moses was the staff, and that of Jesus was raising the dead. Because the message of Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the final one, Allah supported him with an enduring miracle, which is the Holy Quran. The Prophet challenged his eloquent people to produce its like, but they failed. Then he challenged them with ten surahs, then with one surah, and their inability was a proof against them and others.

Among the facets of the Quran's inimitability are:

1. Reporting future unseen events, such as the victory of the Romans. 2. Reporting about past nations and their details, even though the Prophet was illiterate. 3. The freshness of its recitation; it does not become boring or tiresome from repetition. 4. Its inimitability in legislation, which human minds have not attained. 5. Its reporting of the universe's intricacies and secrets, which modern science gradually reveals. 6. Its preservation from alteration and change, so no one can add or remove a single letter from it.

The Quran is the proof and evidence of the prophethood of Muhammad, peace be upon him, as confirmed by the Prophet's saying: "There was no prophet except that he was given signs similar to what mankind believed in, and what I was given was a revelation that Allah revealed to me, so I hope to be the one with the most followers on the Day of Resurrection."
