Is it permissible to return a wife to her husband’s bond or to marry her again, if she had declared her apostasy then repented and returned to Islam, knowing that she was divorced three times, and it was said that the third divorce does not count due to the declaration of apostasy?

If a wife apostatizes and is divorced during her apostasy, then if she repents and returns to Islam during her iddah, the divorce is effective, and if it was the third divorce, then she is not permissible for you until she marries someone else. However, if she does not return to Islam until her iddah expires, the divorce is not effective, and you are permitted to take her back with a new contract if she returns to Islam after the iddah, because she becomes irrevocably separated by minor baynunah upon the expiration of the iddah. We issue a fatwa that separation due to apostasy is contingent upon the expiration of the iddah.
