Did Moses (peace be upon him) take the staff from Midian, or was it from Paradise, or from Shu'ayb, or from Adam?

There is nothing authentic regarding the staff of Musa (peace be upon him), and none of the narrations concerning it are reliably established. The sources for these narrations are Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim, Al-Durr Al-Manthur, Tafsir Al-Tabari, and Al-Nafrawi's Sharh Al-Risala.
