Is it permissible to reject a suitor who comes from a family that has changed its original lineage and surname for a hidden reason or in pursuit of prestige?

The standard for choosing a husband is religion and character, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If someone whose religion and character you approve comes to you proposing, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." There is no blame on the fiancée for rejecting a suitor, even if he is religious and of good character. Regarding the suitor's affiliation with a tribe other than his own, the sin falls upon whoever initiated this change or knowingly attributed themselves to it, and merely being a member of such families does not make a person sinful. Therefore, advise her to carefully consider the suitor's situation, his religion, and his character, and that the rejection should not be based merely on him being from that family.
