What is the opinion of Islamic law regarding a husband who seeks advice from his friends when disagreements occur with his wife, claiming that this is mentioned in the Book of Allah Almighty, and what is the extent of the validity of this statement?

The matter differs from case to case. Some marital issues should be concealed and kept private, while for some disputes between spouses, it is better to consult people of sound judgment from among friends and relatives, as Zayd ibn Harithah did with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, concerning his wife Zaynab, and as Umm al-Darda' presented her situation to Salman. In general, what transpires between spouses should not be disclosed to others unless it is impossible to resolve the matter between them. In such a case, informing a friend or relative to resolve the dispute or seek advice is preferable.
