Will Allah be pleased with a person who suffers from excessive sexual thoughts about women, and whose heart is filled with arrogance, envy, hatred, malice, and cruelty, and who is attached to other than Allah, and is addicted to looking at what is forbidden, and feels shackled by sins and transgressions, yet has a strong desire to change and return to Allah and be sincere to Him?

The remedy for the first problem lies in shunning provocations to lust, lowering one's gaze from what Allah has forbidden, refraining from listening to what displeases Allah, and immediately averting one's gaze upon seeing a woman. One must also strive to resist and expel evil thoughts, replacing them with what benefits one in matters of religion and worldly life. As for the remaining questions, they should be sent independently. The general advice is to adhere to obedience to Allah, purify the heart, engage in remembrance and supplication (dhikr and du'a), associate with righteous people, embrace the means of uprightness, and repent after every sin.
