Does the existence of the jalsat al-istiraahah (short sitting pause) in prayer—which is not consistent with the Maliki madhhab followed in Algeria—lead to a lack of tranquility among worshippers?

It has been previously clarified that the ruling on the sitting of rest (jalsat al-istirahah) is that it is a Sunnah. A Muslim should not perform Sunnah acts if they lead to disunity and disagreement, because the unity of hearts is obligatory, while performing a Sunnah is recommended. People should be taught about the sunnah nature of these acts.
