What is the ruling regarding a wife's refusal to sleep at her in-laws' house and to engage in intercourse there until her husband rents an independent home for them both?

It is the right of the wife that her husband provide her with an independent dwelling with its facilities and maintenance according to his means. She has the right to refuse to join him in bed if he does not fulfill this. It is not permissible to delay the prayer beyond its prescribed time due to the presence of the husband's family or a shared bathroom. The wife can perform ghusl (ritual bath) in her room if she is unable to do so in the bathroom. Modesty is commendable unless it leads to violating the Sharia; otherwise, it is a blameworthy weakness and shyness.
