What is the authenticity of the story of the shaykh who used to steal, and the soil cast him out upon his death?

It is not surprising that Allah punishes some disobedient individuals by having the earth expel them after burial. Examples of this have been reported:

1. The story of a Christian man who embraced Islam then apostatized. He used to write for the Prophet, peace be upon him, then he returned saying: "Muhammad knows nothing except what I have written for him." When he died, they buried him, but the earth expelled him repeatedly. So, they realized he was not like other people and cast him aside. 2. The story of a Muslim man who killed a polytheist after the latter said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I am a Muslim," before he was killed. The Prophet, peace be upon him, rebuked him for this. Soon after, the man died. They buried him, but the earth expelled him repeatedly, so they cast him into one of the wadis.
